Resting in the Gospel
A segment of the third teaching in the series,
“The Rest Is Up To You”
by Pastor Don Caywood
Learn what it means to rest in the Gospel: the Good News of Jesus, the Son of God.
Hebrews 4:9-11 tells us, “There remains therefore a rest for the people of God. For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His. Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest, lest anyone fall according to the same example of disobedience.”
Stop living a stressful life and learn how to enter the rest that God has provided for us from Pastor Don’s four-part teaching series “The Rest Is Up To You”.
*Note: this is just a short segment of “Resting in the Gospel” which is a 40 minute teaching. To purchase the full teaching call our offices at (432) 368-7714.

Every human need was met when Jesus died, resurrected, and ascended into heaven. At the Cross man’s work was overpowered by God’s grace. Man’s need of approval was more than met by God’s gift of righteousness. Jesus’ stripes opened the door for the healing of any sickness. Christ’s sacrifice gave all of mankind the opportunity … Read more
Living in God’s reality will cause us to realize what it means to live in peace. To discover peace, we must break out of living in the flesh, the carnal reality, and start living in God’s reality by submitting ourselves to God (James 4:7). To submit to God we have to realize that He is … Read more
Learn how God has provided healing for us regardless of what we have done.
True or False: What you don’t know won’t hurt you? False! The Bible says that it’s the truth that you know that will make you free. How can you own and rest in the promises God has given you if you don’t even know what they are?!
In 2015, I taught a series titled THE REST IS UP TO YOU where I showed that it is important that you rest in God’s Word. As you continue to renew your mind to God’s Word, you will find rest in knowing God has already provided everything that you need in living a victorious life in Christ – including healing.
Whether we receive that healing or not us up to us.
“There remains therefore a rest for the people of God. For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His. Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest, lest anyone fall according to the same example of disobedience.” Hebrews 4:9-11 (NKJV)
Let’s be diligent to enter the rest that Jesus has already provided for us.
Watch this clip as I share with you the importance of knowing Father God’s will for our lives. Understand that regardless of what you have done or deserve Father God loves you unconditionally. He has provided forgiveness, mercy and healing by His Grace. Receive all that God has for you.

Carnal isn’t a word that we hear or use every day. What does it really mean? The word “carnal” actually means “of the five senses.” When we are ruled by the five physical senses we are carnal. It’s the same as being dominated by what the Bible calls “the flesh.” The flesh is that part … Read more

Genesis 1 gives us the account of God creating the world. He spoke everything into existence, and when He was finished He looked at creation and “saw all that He had made, and behold, it was very good.” (Genesis 1:31). It was very good because it was made exactly as God desired, and everything operated … Read more

The way you speak changes, you might start telling the same jokes, watching the same TV shows, and much more. The same way your relationships … Read more
