To step out and trust God is an entirely different way of living your life. It’s the only way to really live. Acts 26 in the Message Bible says that real living begins when we believe God. The amazing thing about God is when you trust Him, He always comes through. He’ll never leave you, and His word will never fail you. He watches over His word to make it happen in your life (Jeremiah 1:12).
It’s one step at a time, and everyone starts somewhere. My starting place was believing God for five pairs of socks.
It sounds like a pretty small thing, right? But God tells us not to look down on small beginnings (Zechariah 4:10). We have to remember that everything is a seed, all we have to do is plant it, and God will make it grow. So, I planted a seed of faith by believing God for the socks. I had the money to pay for them. They were not an immediate need in my life, but learning to trust God was, and it is in your life too. I prayed and believed God for the socks and within two weeks He used a man to give me the money to buy them. It was a small thing in the material world, but it was a huge first step in my faith. The word of God became real when that man handed me the money.
If you want to learn how to trust God I encourage you to find something small to believe Him for.
Take a small step of faith. Don’t be discouraged with a small start. You have to begin somewhere and sometime, so start today. If you don’t get what you’re believing for right away, don’t give up. God is faithful, He will provide, and you’ll see it when you get what you’re believing for.
